Installation & Activation

Installation

Download StrataHeikenAshi.cs from your purchase email
In NinjaTrader, go to Tools → Import → NinjaScript Add-On
Select the downloaded file and click Import
Restart NinjaTrader

Activation

Add StrataHeikenAshi to your chart
Right-click the chart → Indicators → StrataHeikenAshi
In properties, go to the License group
Enter your license key (sent via email)
Click OK

Note: The license automatically activates on the first computer you use it on. It validates online and caches for 30 days.

Countdown Timer

The countdown timer displays time remaining until the next bar close, plus current time.

Properties (Timer Group)

Timezone Support

Choose from 30+ major global timezones including:

Market Hours Detection

Timer automatically shows "CLOSED" when markets are closed based on US futures market hours (Eastern Time).

Candle Size Labels

Display candle sizes directly on bars with modern pill-style labels.

Understanding Units

Points: Raw price difference (e.g., 7.25 points)
Ticks: Number of ticks (e.g., 29 ticks)
ATR Multiples: Size relative to average range (e.g., 1.5x, 2.3x)

Tip: Use ATR Multiples to compare volatility across different instruments or timeframes.

Panel Display

The info panel shows:

Current: Live size of forming/last candle
Average: Mean size over lookback period
UP %: Percentage of bullish candles (green)
DN %: Percentage of bearish candles (red)
Doji %: Percentage of doji candles (yellow)
Patterns: Frequency of detected patterns

Real Price Dots

Overlay actual close prices on Heiken-Ashi candles to maintain price awareness.

Pattern Recognition

Automatically detected candlestick patterns (14+ types):

Single Candle Patterns

Hammer: Long lower wick, small body, bullish
Hanging Man: Long lower wick, small body, bearish
Inverted Hammer: Long upper wick, small body, bullish
Shooting Star: Long upper wick, small body, bearish
Marubozu: Large body, minimal wicks (90%+ body)
Spinning Top: Small body, long wicks both sides
Doji: Open = Close (within 10% of range)

Multi-Candle Patterns

Bullish Engulfing: Bullish candle engulfs prior bearish
Bearish Engulfing: Bearish candle engulfs prior bullish
Morning Star: Bearish → Small → Bullish reversal
Evening Star: Bullish → Small → Bearish reversal
Three White Soldiers: Three consecutive bullish candles
Three Black Crows: Three consecutive bearish candles

Troubleshooting

License Issues

Problem: "License key required" message

Solution: Enter your license key in indicator properties under the License group.

Problem: "License validation failed"

Solutions:

Check your internet connection
Verify the license key is correct (no extra spaces)
Contact support@stratatrading.io if issue persists

Display Issues

Problem: Timer not updating

Solution: Ensure Calculate mode is set to OnEachTick (default)
